THE IMB has decided to zero in on people looking for ways to save money on their mortgages by offering free loan applications on home loans.
Retail Distribution head Bob Turnbull said although the Reserve Bank had not raised interest rates this month home loan customers were still looking for money saving opportunities.
Shopping around for lower interest rates and better deals made sense and IMBs Budget Home Loan was offering a category winning 6.45 per cent interest rate. The comparison rate was 6.56 per cent per annum.
Mr Turnbull said the zero application fee on the Budget Home Loan applications, which represented an up-front saving of $595, would end on April 30. The IMB also offered a zero application fee on its Professional Home Loan.
The budget home loan was targeted at first home buyers and the professional home loan at self-employed professionals or small to medium sized business people.
